Supported by the University of Sharjah and Korean-Arab Society in South Korea, SEOUL SPEAKS ARABIC public exhibition was launched in Sungso-dong District, one of the most popular artistic and cultural areas in Seoul.
The project is a cultural celebration that aims to create a deeper connection between Arabic and Korean cultures and grow mutual appreciation and understanding. It introduces global audiences to the Arabic language, people, and cultural values, portraying them as symbols of love and beauty. It utilizes Korean, Arabic, and English to encourage cross-cultural exchange.
As part of the larger THE CITY SPEAKS ARABIC initiative, this display in Seoul marks the start of a journey to bring this cultural exchange to cities around the world.
[The featured artwork and type design is created by Dr Hala Georges, an Assistant Professor in Visual Communication at the University of Sharjah, College of Fine Arts & Design.
